The problem drinker (or abuser) has developed a set of drinking habits that are harmful emotionally, psychologically, emotionally, and perhaps even financially but he is not addicted. To determine if you are an alcoholic or a problem drinker see the posting entitled:Top Signs and Symptoms of Alcohol Abuse.

Once you have established whether you are an alcoholic or a problem drinker you can then set about finding a program or a method that best suits you. It might be joining AA; it might be using a home-based recovery program; it might be you will choose an outpatient recovery program.
